Christian

“Christian is my love child.

My child who needs to be set free, who is chained by other people’s ideas…

Somebody who wants a life, who cannot get out of the rut because of everything else that surrounds her.

I decided to be invested in her as a being.”

-Meher

I want to introduce you to Christian.

Look at her sweet smile, her easy laugh, her twinkling eyes. Listen to her words and hear her wisdom. This is a young woman with a big story. A story she has decided to share with us honestly and openly with the intention that it may open hearts and help us see beyond the surface.

We hear of a child who had to grow up way too early, dealing with situations that are beyond my comprehension as a grown up woman. Our hearts break as we hear the story of the little 8 year old who is thrilled to see her daddy on TV, too young to understand that he’s on TV for shooting someone and will consequently go to jail.

I want you to meet Christian. REALLY see her. REALLY hear her. Ask yourself where you might be today if you had the beginning that she had. Maybe your beginning was not an easy one either. In that case, Christian may have words that will give you hope. Listen to her. Hers is a story of forgiveness, redemption and resilience. This is what courage looks like.

I want to introduce you to Christian. She was a gift to my heart. My hope is she is to yours as well.

Christian's Story

We suggest you begin with the JUST ONE LIFE video above, then watch Christian’s Story if you are interested in learning more about her.

Ways you can help:

Be mindful of the people in your life. The person mowing your lawn. The person serving you your biscuit at Bojangles. The person you meet on the streetcorner. Find out what is going on in their life. Find out of they are struggling. Ask yourself “Is there something I can do to make this persons life a little better?”.
